FLORA: Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum) is an annual cereal in the family of Polygonaceae. A branching, 30-90 cm wide stem carries cordate leaves and pink or white clustered blossoms. Buckwheat flowers in 25 to 30 days after the upspring of seedlings, flowering lasts 30 to 40 days. The exact time of flowering depends on the seeding time and the qualities of a particular variety.
